The Saraswathi Veena originated way back in the 16th Century during the days of Bobbili Samasthanam. This Saraswati Veena has played a great significance in the evolution of Carnatic music in our country and is even today cherished by connoisseurs world wide.
The miniatures as the original instruments are made from seasoned jack wood. The inlay work is mainly colored flowers and leaves on white background. Over the years the craft has been diversified by the artisans. But is still as popular and loved my music lovers.
